The first step for you would be to purchase land in the area. Next, you'll need to work with a soil engineer to investigate the building site and come up with well and drain field locations. But don't worry—that's what we're here for! We are happy to connect you to a local soil engineer, and walk you through the entire process of building your dream home.

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We’ll connect you with a local soil engineer to assess the site and determine well and drainfield locations before plans are finalized.

Do you have a catalog of floor plans I can look at? Do you provide floor plans?

Accepted Answer

We are custom builders and do not have stock plans. You’re welcome to bring ideas you've seen or plans that you’ve found online (there are many options), or we can connect you with a local architect to help design something specific to your needs.

What if I want to explore modular homes? Do you build with modular homes?

We do offer modular options through Cardinal Homes (https://cardinalhomes.com)and can help you determine if one of their designs would be a good fit for your project.

How much does it cost to build a new home?

Accepted Answer

Currently, new home construction is running between $300 - $350 a square foot for finished heated living space. That number decreases substantially if porches, garages, and unfinished basements are included. The large variation is due to the type of finishes chosen by the client: i.e laminate vs wood flooring, granite vs laminate countertops, vinyl siding vs Smart Siding, metal roof vs shingle roof. Adding custom cabinets, extensive trim carpentry, tiling and masonry work add to the square foot pricing.

From the time we break ground, most homes are completed within one year, though we are often able to finish sooner depending on the complexity of the project.

While you’ll apply directly with the lender of your choice, we are happy to recommend local banks and lenders we have worked with and trust.
